Atmospheric Chemistry > Emission
The following information is about Emission.
Emission Defined
A substance discharged into the air, especially by an internal combustion engine.Ý The majority of the substance consists of un-burned hydrocarbons that react in the atmosphere to produce ground-level ozone.Ý Urban air gases consist of nitrogen oxides, reactive organic gases, carbon monoxide, and sulfur oxides.Ý Emission standards from EPA are just about everywhere and air pollutants are controlled from both industrial and automobile sources. Working Towards An Optical Integrated Circuit
Published July 4, 2009, 5:08 am, Medical News Today
ETH Zurich researchers have successfully created an optical transistor from a single molecule. This has brought them one step closer to an optical computer. Internet connections and computers need to be ever faster and more powerful nowadays. However, conventional central processing units (CPUs) limit the performance of computers, for example because they produce an enormous amount of heat.
