The following information is about Nitrogen Monoxide (nitric Oxide).

Nitrogen Monoxide (nitric Oxide) Defined

NO is the principal emitted NOx gas from high temperature combustion in air. This gas can acts a catalyst in the reactions that cause the destruction of ozone. Reacting with ozone and tropospheric radicals, NO is inextricably linked with the polluted urban atmospheric production of NO2, ozone, and other secondary pollutants such as peroxyacetyl nitrate.
